Enhancing rider performance for all levels is something that we are passionate about at CRA and our in-house biomechanics instructor Natasha Olivant is skilled at identifying rider asymmetry and correcting it to help our clients achieve their full potential.
This is important for every rider's journey whether the end goal is Grand Prix Dressage or hacking because how we sit on the horse has a direct effect on the comfort and henceforth the performance of our mounts.
The session takes place on and off horseback using our fully equipped equine specific gym and the aim of these sessions is to raise rider body awareness and help each student evolve the riding position into a positive, aligned shock absorbing machine that is ultimately safer in the saddle and confidence building for nervous riders. (And consequently nervous horses by default as the two often go together!)
Very often clients come out of these sessions with comments such as....
'Why have I never been taught this before?'
'This is going to revolutionise my riding'
'My horse has never gone like this before'
These sessions are for everyone over the age of 13 and they will accelerate your development as a rider and horseman/woman exponentially as they are supported by a wealth of background knowledge about human bodies, horse biomechanics and horse behaviour.
As with everything else at CRA we are driven by our desire to provide a platform for learning underpinned by the most ethical, horse-centred care and philosophy....
If you are serious about being your best riding self, book yourself a session and prepare to be enlightened!
Natasha has two decades of experience encompassing a seat-centric approach to riding, underpinned with the belief that the rider’s position in the saddle is a key determinant of the successful confluence of the horse and rider.
