FREELANCE HORSE RIDING LESSONS
45-minute session with 15-minute post-analysis | £50
For riders seeking meaningful progress, greater connection with their horses, and a direct window into the tenets of Classical Horsemanship, Natasha Olivant delivers private, one-to-one riding lessons on the pupil's horse, in the comfort of their own familiar stables or livery setting.
Lessons are tailored to the collective needs of horse and rider, focussing on areas where that partnership may need support.
From enhancing higher level Dressage moves, improving confidence in the saddle or addressing behavioural problems, Natasha can assist with all facets of horsemanship.
Lessons can be undertaken mounted, in-hand, or a mixture of both and the session will always be un-pressured and horse-centric in their approach to learning.
All abilities of horse and rider combinations can be accommodated and Natasha has the benefit of being able to offer lessons on her Spanish Schoolmaster horses as a supportive tool for riders wishing to experience advanced Dressage movements such as Piaffe, Passage, Flying changes and lateral work.
Semi-private or group lessons are available for groups of like minded riders and horses of similar ability.
Lessons are available Monday to Saturday. Natasha is fully insured and travels across West Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire. A travel fee applies beyond a 10-mile radius of Charlton, West Sussex.
PRIVATE RIDING LESSON ON YOUR OWN HORSE
PRIVATE RIDING LESSONS DESIGNED AROUND YOU
Freelance riding lessons are available in the comfort of your own yard or livery setting, ensuring every session takes place in a location that feels calm and familiar for both horse and rider.
This allows for relaxed, focused learning without the disruption or pressure of travelling your horse to a new environment.
Lessons are usually private, but multiple riders can have a group lesson if they are similarly matched in ability. In either case, Natasha will work closely with you to achieve your personal riding goals.
From improving your riding position, rehabilitative work, competition preparation, assistance in starting youngsters, you’ll receive clear guidance and thoughtful, non-judgemental feedback tailored to your ability.
IMPROVE THE WAY YOUR HORSE MOVES
Every lesson is underpinned by Natasha’s deep understanding of classical Horsemanship and the application of Equine Behaviour in horse training - as well as the significant impact of addressing Rider Biomechanics for the benefit of the horse's performance.
This isn’t just about how things look — it’s about how they feel, and how your body influences your horse’s movement and mindset.
By focusing on the above principles, riders will see improvements in their position which will in turn lead to improved straightness, balance, and performance in your horse
.
Each session brings awareness, improvement, and a better riding experience for you both.
HORSE RIDING LESSONS THAT BUILD CONFIDENCE
These lessons are designed for adults and youngsters from about the age of 14 upwards.
Natasha does not teach children younger than this because there is a lot of information imparted, which can be overwhelming to a younger audience.
All previous horsemanship experiences are welcomed and many of Natasha's clients tend to be those riders who feel they have plateaued or that there is 'something missing' in their relationship with their horse.
Being able to share a new depth of understanding that will enhance your ridden and or in-hand work is Natasha's speciality and it is applicable to riders of all abilities and backgrounds.
