HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR LESSONS IN HAMPSHIRE

45-minute session with 15-minute post-analysis | £65

Horse riding simulator lessons with the Racewood Dressage Simulator provide a calm, feedback-driven way to improve rider balance, posture, confidence, and coordination. Suitable for adults and teenagers of all levels, these one-to-one sessions help Natasha Olivant assess rider biomechanics, rein contact, symmetry, and seat position in real time without the unpredictability of a live horse. Based near Petersfield in Hampshire, these one-to-one simulator sessions support riders across West Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire.

These mechanical horse lessons offer precise, feedback-driven coaching that helps riders understand how posture, balance, rein contact, and rider tension affect the horse’s movement and way of going. The mechanical horse eliminates variables such as temperament, asymmetry, or compensation, giving you a clear picture of how your posture and aids influence movement. Used regularly in rider development programs, it helps fast-track progress by isolating and correcting habits that affect communication and balance.

These riding simulator lessons are equally valuable for nervous riders, returning riders, adult beginners, and advanced competitors looking to refine feel, balance, and rider influence. The simulator gives you space to refine your position and aids, builds confidence, and improves coordination. Many clients begin with a simulator session as an introduction to the Classical Riding Academy’s ethos and revisit it throughout their riding journey to track improvements in balance and symmetry.

HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR LESSONS WITH THE RACEWOOD SIMULATOR

WHY USE A HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR?

Horse riding simulator lessons take place exclusively at Aylings Garden Centre near Petersfield, Hampshire. The studio offers a calm, supportive space to build confidence, refine core stability, and improve communication between horse and rider.

The Racewood mechanical horse responds instantly to your input, allowing Natasha to guide you through biomechanical exercises that target seat alignment, leg aids, and rein pressure.

You’ll feel how small changes affect transitions, lateral work, and collection, and you can practice advanced dressage movements such as flying changes, piaffe, or passage without pressure.

IMPROVE RIDER CONFIDENCE, BALANCE & CORE STABILITY

Unlike traditional horse riding lessons, the mechanical horse simulator provides a consistent platform where posture and aids can be analysed without live horse variables.

This helps identify asymmetries or habits, from bracing in the seat and uneven rein pressure to gripping with the knees, and replace them with calm, effective communication. Sessions focus on core stability, rising trot transitions, rein contact, and seat alignment.

Riding simulator training is especially effective for riders experiencing tension, nerves, stiffness, or inconsistency in the saddle; it builds confidence and fitness and clarifies the influence your body has on the horse.

HOW HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR LESSONS IMPROVE RIDER BALANCE & POSTURE

Horse riding simulator lessons help riders understand how posture, balance, coordination, and rein contact influence the horse’s movement. By removing the unpredictability of a live horse, the mechanical horse simulator gives Natasha a clear way to assess rider biomechanics and explain how small changes in seat, leg, and hand position affect balance, straightness, and communication.

This feedback-driven approach helps riders improve position, stability, and rider influence without relying on stronger aids or force. The aim is always a softer, more balanced partnership where both horse and rider feel more relaxed, secure, and responsive.

Simulator lessons complement our Schoolmaster and Freelance coaching by providing a baseline assessment and ongoing check-ins on rider biomechanics. They are a calm, nonjudgmental way to improve confidence, refine rider position, and build a more balanced, harmonious partnership.

Sessions take place at Aylings Garden Centre near Petersfield, Hampshire. To book your simulator lesson or integrate simulator training into your coaching plan, please get in touch.
