The Classical Riding Academy is committed to ensuring visitors' privacy whilst viewing our website and protecting the data of all of our clients.

This policy explains the types of data collected and how this information will be used.

Our booking system includes a rider registration step which must be completed before riding a horse. This will be countersigned after the lesson by an instructor. Must resubmit their Rider Registration Form if their details change. The responsibility falls to the parent/guardian if the child is under 18.

We operate a weight restriction for all riders. The maximum weight of a rider complete with Riding Hat and Boots is 80 kgs (12st 7lbs).

We reserve the right to refuse you to ride a particular horse if we feel that the safety of the rider or horse is in question. You reserve the right to change to another horse, providing one is available, and it is practical and safe to do so.

Are required to attend a mandatory assessment/introduction lesson before being able to book anything else. This allows us to ascertain your riding level. New clients are weight checked before the start of their Introduction Lesson complete with Riding Hat and Boots. The lesson will be cancelled and is non-refundable if the rider exceeds the weight limit of 80kg (12st 7lbs).

If you've not been riding with us for a year or more you will be asked to complete another assessment lesson.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the lesson/hack. If you are late, we unfortunately cannot make that time up as other clients will be waiting for their lessons to start on time. If we are late for whatever reason we will make up your lesson/hack time.

If you cancel within 48 hours or fail to turn up for any reason, your payment will not be refunded. Lessons and other sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice will be rescheduled to a date within six months of the original appointment. Riding is an all-weather pursuit and goes ahead even in inclement conditions.

We do not provide or supply riding hats.

Clients hats (all types) should be PAS015 or BSEN138 standard (or better) and must be worn and fastened at all times while riding and leading a horse.

We do NOT provide body protectors, but strongly recommend you wear one whenever riding.

Please inform us beforehand if you wish to bring a visitor/spectator and we will let you know if this is possible depending on what other activities are taking place on site on that particular day. Any spectators must remain as quiet as possible and in full view of the Instructor and horse whilst the lesson is in progress.

Children must be supervised at all times by a legally responsible person. Parents are asked not to leave your children unattended at any time during their stay at The Classical Riding Academy.

We have a strict no smoking policy, if you are caught you will be asked to leave.

We do NOT allow any clients to bring their own pets onto the grounds/premises. Guide Dogs are allowed with notice.

All animals are unpredictable; do NOT feed the horses and ponies at any time.

Do NOT enter any field, box or make contact with a horse or pony at any time, without prior authorisation from a member of staff.
