TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Classical Riding Academy is committed to ensuring visitors' privacy whilst viewing our website and protecting the data of all of our clients.

This policy explains the types of data collected and how this information will be used.

ALL CLIENTS

Our booking system includes a rider registration step which must be completed before riding.

PUNCTUALITY AND ARRIVAL TIMES

Please have your horse prepared and in the arena for the start of the lesson time. If you are late, unfortunately that time cannot be made up as other clients will potentially be waiting for their lessons to start on time at another venue. If we are late for whatever reason we will make up your lesson time.

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel within 48 hours or fail to turn up for any reason, your payment will not be refunded. Lessons and other sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice will be rescheduled to a date within six months of the original appointment. Riding is an all-weather pursuit and goes ahead even in inclement conditions.

RIDING HELMETS

We do not provide or supply riding hats.

Clients hats (all types) should be PAS015 or BSEN138 standard (or better) and must be worn and fastened at all times while riding and leading a horse.

BODY PROTECTORS

We do NOT provide body protectors, but strongly recommend you wear one whenever riding.

EXTRA VISITORS

Please inform us beforehand if you wish to bring a visitor/spectator. Any spectators must remain as quiet as possible and in full view of the Instructor and horse whilst the lesson is in progress so as not to disturb the horse.
Children must be supervised at all times and prevented from disturbing the lesson.

YOUR CHOICE TO RIDE

In choosing to ride your horse you do so taking on full responsibility for your actions.

The guidance you will receive from Natasha Olivant is advice only and if you feel it is outside the remit of what you feel comfortable doing then it is your duty to voice this and to have appraised her of a full history of your riding and the horse's capabilities and behavioural tendencies to the best of your knowledge and in the interest of your own safety.

Natasha will never knowingly ask you to do anything that is outside of your capabilities or comfort zone and in electing to ride it is assumed that you believe the horse you are riding and that you have provided to be fit and suitable for your lesson.

Additionally, all horses must be physically sound for the level of work expected of them and refunds will not be given if a horse appears lame on commencement of the lesson.

In her professional opinion, if Natasha Olivant deems a horse to be dangerous, behaviourally unsuitable or unsafe for a rider, she will cease ridden work and offer an inhand alternative or a behavioural consultation.

From an ethical and safety point of view she will not give a mounted lesson if she feels the behaviour of a horse could precipitate an accident to the rider or mental or physical damage to the horse and this will not be a negotiable point.

In these cases no refunds shall be given.
